Volunteer With Us
We are always looking for volunteers to accompany the shopping, library and outings as helpers or as bus drivers. Committee members are sought each year and business mentors would be particularly welcome.Helpers need to be physically able to assist the elderly onto and down from a bus and to carry bags of shopping or library books from the bus to the member’s door. People with experience working with the elderly and/or with first aid qualifications would be particularly welcome. The time commitment would be one trip weekly or fortnightly or as a relief. Bus Drivers need to have valid Qld Transport authorisations for G&S. The time commitment would be one or more bus trips a month with our members or with nursing homes or community organizations hiring our bus. Ring Bob on 0410 461 569.
Policy
The Redcliffe Community Bus for Disabled or Aged Inc will operate as a not for profit organisation with a philosophy of service to the Members through volunteering as the core principle on which the Redcliffe Community Bus operates.
General
The Management Committee are all volunteers.Drivers are volunteers who are reimbursed a nominal amount to cover transport to the shed, laundering of uniforms and purchase of morning and afternoon teas.
Helpers are volunteers.
All reasonable expenses incurred by volunteers shall be reimbursed.
All volunteers will sign a volunteer agreement on commencement with the Redcliffe Community Bus.
