Redcliffe Community Bus Outings
Many disabled and elderly persons in the Redcliffe and Deception Bay areas live at home but cannot easily venture out on their own. It is difficult for them to access shopping and library facilities or to go further afield to visit places of interest, and many do not feel confident about going on such trips alone. The Redcliffe Community Bus for Disabled or Aged Inc services this need at a very low cost and in a friendly, supportive and caring environment. Because our trips are run for Members only, anyone wanting to travel with us must meet the requirements of membership (as detailed on the Join Us page).
Shopping Trips — Members Only
We run excursions several times a week to allow these members of our community to access facilities, purchase necessities and simply enjoy an outing with friends.
From: Our helpers and volunteer bus drivers will pick you from your front door and return you afterwards. They’ll even take your parcels to the door for you, making the outing as easy for you as possible.
To: The Peninsula Fair Shopping Centre at Kippa-Ring
When: Every Monday morning and every Wednesday morning. Pick ups start between 7.30am and 8am.

Cost:
The cost is $5 each trip, payable to the helper on the day.
Bus Outings — Members Only
Each month we offer our members day or overnight trips to varying destinations. These are a great way to take a break from daily life, experience new things and enjoy time with friends.
Our trips are published in our quarterly newsletter, which is sent out to our members.
From: Our helpers and volunteer drivers will pick you from your front door and return you afterwards.
To:
We travel to a variety of interesting or entertaining locations such as Kilcoy, Montville, Mt Tamborine or the Gold Coast.
When: Usually Tuesdays, Friday and Saturdays
Each quarter we run three day trip away(Bundaberg, Dalby & Yamba have been recent popular desinations we have travelled to).
Booking: Please call our office on 3284 6429 to book a place on the bus, after receiving the quarterly newsletter which will outline more information about the outing.
Cost:
In order to cover morning and afternoon teas, lunch and an entrance fee (if applicable), there is a cost for bus outings. We keep the cost as low as possible, but it will vary depending on the outing.
